DESCRIPTION

----------------------------------------

General Description: Baldur's Gate Trilogy is a mod created by Bardez that incorporates the original Baldur's Gate (plus the expansion Tales of the Sword Coast) into Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal.  As this game incorporates files from Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast, you must own these two games to use this mod. You do not have permission to use this if you don't have them. Baldur's Gate II and the Throne of Bhaal expansion are required for installation, so you need to own all four products.

BGT-WeiDU combines every element of Baldur’s Gate Trilogy from Bardez’s final release of BGT_MK3_112 to the present day mini-fixes, including:

  • The Baldur’s Gate Trilogy main package – bgt_mk3_112.exe
  • The Big Picture–Baldur’s Gate Trilogy compatibility package – BP-BGTv311.zip
  • The Big Picture–Baldur’s Gate Trilogy critical fix packages – MK1-MK3_1.13-fixes.rar, lost_files.zip, patch_snares.zip
  • The Big Picture–Baldur’s Gate Trilogy–Never Ending Journey major patch – BP-BGT-NEJ_PATCH313.zip
  • The seanas & hlidskialf Big Picture–Baldur’s Gate Trilogy–Never Ending Journey Patch 6 – BP_s_and_h_Patchv6.zip
  • Shorter-Better Transition for Big Picture–Baldur’s Gate Trilogy–Never Ending Journey Release 14 – SBT14.exe
  • King Diamond’s Baldur’s Gate NPC fixes – bg1bgt_p1.rar
  • King Diamond’s AR7326 tileset fix – ar7326.rar

KNOWN ISSUES/COMPATIBILITY

----------------------------------------

- During the tileset conversion step, you may encounter the following errors.  Ignore them –– the tileset converter utility is trying to rename and delete some files that do not exist

Warning :      Cannot handle area MOS file

Warning :      Cannot handle area _HT.bmp file

Warning :      Cannot handle area _LM.bmp file

Warning :      Cannot handle area _SR.bmp file

Warning :      Cannot delete source area MOS file

Warning :      Cannot delete source area _HT.bmp file

Warning :      Cannot delete source area _LM.bmp file

Warning :      Cannot delete source area _SR.bmp file

- WeiDU outputs dialog.tlk at the end of the uninstall process, so currently it will need to be manually restored

- BGT-WeiDU fills up the song list (SONGLIST.2DA), leaving space only for Tortured Souls, so the .tp2 files of mods that add entries to the song list will need to be edited to prevent the addition of such entries.  Check the Forgotten Wars forums (http://forums.forgottenwars.net) for more details on how to do this

- Current incompatibility with other Big Picture mods is as follows:

  • Shadows over Soubar – AR4202.ARE
  • Tortured Souls – BASILL.CRE, BISHOP.CRE, KING.CRE, KNIGHT.CRE, KNIGHT1T.CRE, PAWN.CRE, QUEEN.CRE, ROOK.CRE, WOLF.CRE, SONGLIST.2DA, MUSICLIS.2DA/MUSICLIST.2DA
  • Never Ending Journey – AR9800.ARE, AR9801.ARE, IMOEN6.CRE, XAN.CRE
  • The Darkest Day – VICONI6.CRE

- Random crash to desktops (CTDs) have been reported while changing errors in Beregost.  If you experience this problem, load a previous save game and try entering that same area

- Minsc’s initial dialogue to the player at the start of Shadows of Amn is somewhat broken.  At the moment, this can be worked around by continuing to click on Minsc whenever dialogue terminates prematurely
